Protagonize Poetry Tournament 2012 - Round 1

This round challenged us to build a poem using lines from other poems, one of which should come from protagonize itself. Here is the result.

The Tunnel

What though that light, thro’ storm and night,

Now as at all times I can see in the mind’s eye

And slept, and dreamed till break of day

Down, down, down into the darkness of the grave

A slumber did my spirit seal

We seem to hear the deafening light
