With the release of the 8.3 catalyst drivers from ATI/AMD and a little help from here I have managed to get XVideo working on my media box, an ASUS P2-M2A with an in-built X1250 IGP. What’s better is that it works without any diagonal tearing, something that previous made viewing anything with any kind of fast motion or panning very unpleasant. Hopefully AMD will keep on improving their drivers, so far they seem to be doing a great job. Hurray for being able to watch films without diagonal tearing!
