Dark Liquid

Well, things are going good. I got the first book of the Xeelee sequence - finally - and so I’m speeding through that. Also managed to finally get hold of the first Guyver graphic novel to complete my set. Tomorrow I’m off with Dru to Cropredy to see Fairport Convention and friends with Dad and my half-brother Johnathan (who is twelve now! Last time I saw him he was five or something. Madness!).

Still waiting for the solicitors to get their asses into gear so we can move into the new flat. All we have to do really is sign some stuff and get the keys - I’m not sure why they are taking so long.

I got Ubuntu Gutsy working pretty nicely on my MacBook. It worked almost perfectly out of the box - just needed custom network drivers and webcam drivers. I even have compiz running pretty nicely on it. Gutsy is still pretty unstable though - for example pretty much all the compiz configuration tools crash on load. Oh well.
