Drums
I want to do something else other than computer-related activities. Virtually all my skills are computer-based – the ones that aren’t are still technical – and I’d like something else I can focus on, to stop myself from getting bogged down with all my computer related knowledge.
Learning a musical instrument is idfferent and is something I’ve always wanted to do. So I’m considering getting myself a drum kit.
I’ve always wanted to learn how to drum. The challenge of the multitasking involved with drumming appeals to me, as well as just the sounds. I do love the sound of drums, I could listen to it quite happily without any other instruments to accompany it.
Well, now it seems that my childhood dream of drumming can become closer to reality. I’ve never before really had the means to afford or store a drum kit, but now I do and so I am seriously considering the investment.
I’m looking at electronic drum kits because I don’t really have the room to store an acoustic kit plus I’m not sure the noise would go down well. I’m looking at the lowend market, which seems to be around £350 because I’m not prepared to spend a great deal of money on something that I may decide later on to give up on. My interests often get fickle like that.
Anyway, I’m going to mull it over and see what my heart tells me. If I decide to buy them then its going to be an interesting adventure indeed.
